MCCUBBIN POINT COOK
BUILDING DESIGN, INTERIOR DESIGN, LANDSCAPING & FURNISHINGS
COMPLETION: 2026
Despite its contemporary footprint, McCubbin carries a quiet familiarity, as though it has long belonged to its setting. Conceived by interior designer Emma Vasi, the residence is a considered reworking of a typical project home, elevated into a fully resolved, custom environment.
What began as a standard builder-grade shell has been carefully reimagined, with every surface, junction and proportion refined to create a sense of cohesion and intent. Through thoughtful planning and a disciplined material palette, the home sheds its generic origins, emerging as something far more personal and enduring.
Designed as a retreat from the pace of everyday life, the interiors unfold as a series of calm, intentional spaces, where materiality and light take precedence over excess. Soft, layered textures and a muted palette create a sense of permanence, allowing each room to feel grounded and composed.
Within McCubbin, the focus shifts to the essentials: comfort, atmosphere, and the subtle luxury of living well. It is a home that encourages pause—an environment shaped for quiet moments, meaningful connection, and a slower, more deliberate way of inhabiting space.
