Full interior design & furnishings
Completion: 2021

Located in one of Williamstown's most enviable streets, the circa 530sqm block oozed history and potential. Its design is “so beautiful and grand and has such great soul,” Emma observes, adding that she had previously worked with the owners before, styling a much larger project home for sale. “Our task was to give them everything they had in their previous home, and more, within a smaller dwelling. We achieved this through considered design and making the most out of every room.”

Before any work started, including revitalising the original home, adding a basement cinema, second storey master suite, rear garage and studio, Emma proceeded as she always does, asking a question that provides a foundation of insights: “What are the three most important times of your day?”

The result is a timeless, elegant display of elevated design. A space where the family can each enjoy their own interests while also offering the space to come together and entertain guests in expansive rooms not often found in renovations of this era home.

“The approach had to honour the history of the original building while bringing it into the present, and leave room for a young family to grow into it.”
